20 year old mother gave birth in October, 1949, and son was given up for adoption. Dna shows son has relatives in Mobile, and Conecuh county, who have been found. Father unknown.

Update, (Sarah) (Elsie) Ruth Brooks (Davis) married and moved to La Verne, Los Angeles, died there, October 6th, 2002.

Managed to get a message to the manager of the DNA match(my first cousin),  no reply, guess my suspicion that "I'm the skeleton in the closet", is gaining ground. My new found brother has informed our cousin, and he is delighted. "Improvise, adapt and overcome".

Also see, How do I form the, HELLO, I'M THE SKELETON IN YOUR CLOSET " club for unwanted adopted matches.

And: looking for help with new project  compiling Brooks in Conecuh and surrounding Alabama counties.

And, Will a Dna test tell if brothers are full or half brothers.

Dear James,

You may have more action here if you add tags for G2G.  adoption is the first one I can suggest.  This alerts WikiTree groups that may be more able to help you.

    Good luck! -NGP

Thank you I'll do that, I still learning how to do this.

Glenn
