Higginson family connection to Global Family Reunion tree

This goes through some private profiles, so I'm going to say it this way: Jean (Fraser) Spader is a profile that is connected to the Global Family Reunion by marriage (if you're counting, she is 6 steps away from AJ).  This is my closest connection to the Global Family Reunion Tree (21 steps), so I'm going to include the connection to me, but first I will take the line back to the earliest American Higginson ancestor, Francis.

Jean (Fraser) Spader > her mother Elizabeth H (Bowditch) Fraser > her father Frederick C Bowditch > his mother Sarah R (Higginson) Bowditch > her father James P Higginson > his father Stephen Higginson > his father Stephen Higginson > his father John Higginson > his father John Higginson > his father John Higginson > his father Francis Higginson (who died in Salem in 1630).

The line to me is: Jean (Fraser) Spader > her mother Elizabeth H (Bowditch) Fraser > her father Frederick C Bowditch > his mother Sarah R (Higginson) Bowditch > her father James P Higginson > his father Stephen Higginson > his father Stephen Higginson > his sister Elizabeth (Higginson) Prescott > her son Benjamin Prescott > his daughter Rebecca (Prescott) Sherman > her son Roger Sherman Jr. > his daughter Elizabeth B (Sherman) Thacher > her son William L Thacher > his daughter Edith (Thacher) Dane (my grandmother).

Nice, Kyle! You have found a few connections now, haven't you?

Yes, at least three so far that I've connected on WikiTree, and I have at least one more that I haven't connected yet (through the Kents).  Once you connect up to the early American lines, "we're all cousins" as my grandmother used to say.

I wanted to bump this thread back up again because I've found numerous times in the months since I made this connection that many of the AJ connections I find as I work through colonial profiles run through this Higginson link.  The reason I bring this up is not to toot my own horn (well, maybe a little), but instead to point out that Jean Spader's tree on WikiTree still has not been filled out.  There is a ton more there, through the Ingersoll and Bowditch families for sure and probably some of the others as well.

I didn't have time then to build this tree completely and my research interests have taken me in a different direction since, but if we want to connect some folks to the tree, and if we want to reduce the steps for many, many others, a great way to do it would be to continue to work on this part of the Global Family Tree.  I am going to try to carve out some time to do it myself, but I'd love some help!

I will put Jean's tree on our To-Do list for the GFR and create a new thread asking for volunteers. Thanks for the bump, Kyle!
