Remove PPP Please [closed]

There is an approved merge for Wessex-170 and Wessex-55, however, Wessex-170 is PPP, preventing the merge into the lower number.  Request a leader remove the PPP (you can complete the merge while you're at it;  I set it as an unmerged match at the moment).

Well, I just learned a lesson -- to block the approved but illegal match from proceeding (it wanted to merge a low LNAB into a high number LNAB) I clicked on "unmerged match."  That stopped things, all right, but it also cancelled the 30-day default approvals....so now the merge must wait another 30 days for a new default approval!

Fortunately, nothing crucial is waiting on this!
Jack, it is not necessary to do this. When you click on "complete merge" if the merge is pointing to the higher ID, it will ask you to change the direction of the merge. It won't allow you to proceed if you don't. So it's not necessary to postpone the merge.

If the merge is between two profiles with different LNABs it will also give you the opportunity to change the direction of the merge, again, without having to postpone.
The PM just completed the merge, so all is good.
Changing to unmerged match at any stage in a process which will possibly lead to a merge is not ever a good idea in my opinion. People seem to think it is like a neutral flag or parking space, but it is not. It limits actions which might be needed in various scenarios.
