William George Watson b. Quebec Canada 1837 approx. was a mariner who immigrated to South Australia in 1859 and married Sarah Lancaster in Robe, South Australia in 1861. Sarah went on to remary James McLean. There are no records of William George Watson coming to Australia or leaving Australia. There is no birth records of him. Documents state his father was John Watson. What makes it difficult is he had a son William George Bowden Watson born in Australia 1864 and died in Australia in 1910. The sons death record states his father as WIlliam George Bowden Watson and his mother as Anne Baker (assuming this is a stepmom). Some records say William George Bowden Watson went to Canada with his father WIlliam George Watson and returned to Australia around 1873.
Any insights would be welcome, especially from relatives or those that can navigate Canandian records well. Any crew list records are welcome to. Some records indicate he came on the David McIvor ship in 1859 to Adelaide but there is no record of him on the passenger or crew list.
