Is the John Robbins (who married Sarah Childs) a son of Richard Robbins?

I just adopted this profile of John Robbins (b. ca. 1655?), and I marked his parents as uncertain since the existence of Nathaniel Robbins has been questioned.

    I am beginning to wonder if he is the John Robbins (Robbins-2547) born in 1640 (son of Richard Robbins).  Both seem to have died at Harwich in (or after 1717).  But that would have made him 40 years old when he married Sarah Childs.  Perhaps she was a second wife, or he was just slower than most to marry.

Back in 2017, Anne said "It looks as though Nathaniel may be total internet fiction."  I agree, and that is why I changed Nathaniel Robbins' status as John Robbins father as uncertain.   Go to this G2G thread for more information:
