Is there a project that covers the Cowles families in Harford, CT.?

I want to help contribute to the deep genealogy on our shared tree.

1.) Geographical region and time period:   [Your answer here.]

2.) Some example names and dates:   [Your answer here.]

3.) Source(s) for my information on them:   [Your answer here.]

Before I get started adding and changing profiles, can you tell me if there is a WikiTree project that would cover these people? If so, how do I get in touch with the project members to coordinate and collaborate on the profiles?

I tried to create a  free space profile for Berlin, Connecticut but now I can't get back to it.  The link on the profile for [Cowles-190] is in red and won't take me to the free space profile.  Why?

I really, really like the way you changed the question heading from the default, to something making it so very clear where the family belongs.
Thanks

Hi, JIm,

I have fixed the link to your Free space page for Berlin. The name of the page is Space:Berlin, Connecticut you had tried to link to it just using Berlin Connecticut, without the preceding Space: or the comma between Berlin and Connecticut.

I see the immigrant ancestor, John Cowles, is already part of the Puritan Great Migration project, which might be a good starting point for you.

Hi Jim, I'm the leader of the Connecticut Project also a co-leader for Puritan Great Migration Project . I'm going to link your space page to some Connecticut project pages.

As for editing other pre-1700 profiles:

In general, feel free to update pre-1700 profiles that need proper sourcing and more information. Ask yourself: Does what I'm adding add value to the profile? Always, always source your updates/changes/facts/statements, preferably with primary sources. Before you make major changes (changes in relationships, or vital statistics) make sure you attempt to contact the profile managers. It's always polite to contact managers if you're going to do a major overhaul.
