What is Challenges Tracker?

Once the edited profile is saved, at the top it gives a "Challenges Tracker," a button to click.  After clicking this it takes you to, what I believe to be your challenges that you participate in or was.  Not sure, because when most of the time, it says, "For this challenges profile doesn't officially qualify."  I feel that if it doesn't officially qualify why have it?  What is "officially qualify" and why wouldn't the profile be qualified?  All profiles are important!  That's my opinion.  I know some of you will make it known as to why this is, and that's what I want.  Those who have connections to admins please mention that all profiles are important and that if anyone wants to participate in a challenge, let them do so.  It's all computerized and they'll get credit for their edits.  I do believe that there should be an Official Qualified moderator(s) or editor who goes and checks each one.  Time consuming, yes, keep it simple or don't have a button to click for "Challenges Tracker."  I'm just expressing my views and it's all fine, my intentions are not to go against the grain of this fine website, just keep it simple and less confusing for future generations.

Sincerely,

Paula Ann

Challenges are held on weekends, monthly and yearly!

The tracker is used to score the participant's activity as to points earned.

Anytime you make an edit on a profile the tracker appears at the top in the green area as it would be very difficult to program the tracker to only appear when for instance a source is added.

Points can be earned for sourcing, creating profiles as part of the monthly Integrators Challenge, etcetera.

Click here for more info on the challenges.

Hi Paula

The Challenges Tracker comes up as a default on all profiles,  when any editing has been done  - Why the profile may not qualify at that point depends on what the Challenges are and not that the profile isn't important.

There are currently 4 main Challenges

Integrators Challenge -

Quakers Challenge

Sourcerers Challenge ( add missing source records)

Connectors Challenge (connect profiles into the main tree)

If the profile you are editing doesn't meet the criterior for one of the challenges then it doesn't qualify

If you aren't taking  part in one of the challenges than you don't have to Click on the Challenge Tracker Button - it makes no difference to the recording of the profile

The 'doesn't officially qualify' message you're seeing is meant for the Connector's challenge checkbox immediately below the Sourcerer's challenge checkbox?  The message is placed above the challenge it refers to.  It was confusing for me as well until I looked at it more closely.
