You need to include any of the following that  you might know.

Location - Country>Province, Region, County, State > City, town

Dates or approximate dates of birth, marriage, death.

Is 1900 the approximate birth year?

Do you know the names of their parents or spouses? or any children?
The instructions were for one sentence; hence the one...  Charles father was my great grandfather, Minus Washington Arnett, age 38 at the 1880 census;  Mother was Mary E age 22.  Thomas Edward (my grandfather) was 4 and Charles was 2.  Minus was born in Maryland, Mary in Ind., the boys in Illinois in Vermillion Co. (map shows near  Paris, IL)

In 1900, Charley was married to Jane, (1872) from TN., Thomas (brother) 18, Lotie E, daughter 4 mo., and Gilbert Cobb (brother) age 22  (TN.)  This info is the census from Hardin Co., TN.   (I think my great grandfather's second wife was Harriet Cobb.)

I can go into more detail on Thomas and others, but will do that when I fill in the rest of my profile and tree.  Might be another month cause husband is going in for surgery in another week and I will be busy.  Sorry....But, I won't forget...
A bit of difference between the  1910 and 1020 census; almost like two different families.   Family records show that Charley's Mother was Mary Ellen Smith from Indiana.  We kind of hit a snag there when my brothers and I went there because there are so many Smiths and we were running out of time.  However, I thank you for the information and will add it to what I have.
One more thing.  Emmer (dau  llisted) might be Emma considering the way the people talked then and the way the pollster heard it.  I was called Brender (still am by some) not Brenda.
I was thinking that maybe "Willie E" - listed as a daughter in 1910 census might be "Emma" in 1920, and 'Coleman'  might be Walter "C" by the ages/dob and were called by middle names.  The death cert just lists him as W. C. Arnett, son.  Because Lottie E is in both and the correct age.

And Jane is Martha's middle name?

Gilbert Cobb is listed as a boarder, not a brother.

As far as that oddball dob - seeing the image isn't online you can't tell if it's simply a transcription error and instead of age abt 26 it might say age abt 36 -but that's all speculation.

And census takers wrote what they 'heard' and spelled it in their own manner, so Emmer is most likely Emma!

And it might be someone entirely different.
Gilbert Cobb is the step brother of Charley and Thomas.  His mother, Harriet C Cobb was a wife of Minus Washington Arnett.  They are buried together at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery on CR20, 7 miles east of Corinth on Farmington Rd.  She was married to B. F. Cox, W.A. Channell and to M W Arnett .   She was born on 9/21/1852 and died 4/11/1935.

My uncle Elbert E Arnett took  my sister and me to the burial site.  Other relatives are buried there also. I have pictures of the tombstone (somewhere).

This is making more sense.  So Ellen or Mary Ellen Smith must have died before 1910.  And Minus remarried Harriet Butler Cobb.  So there were more children of Minus and either Harriet or Ellen.  But I guess none of this helps you with Charlie.

But Good Luck and Happy Hunting!

I'm so glad I have you!!     James was my grandfather's uncle.  He signed his marriage certificate to my grandmother.  I believe I still have a copy with my stuff still stored in the garage.  Most of this stuff my sister and I found out on our travels to various cities when I came back on vacation when I lived in Thailand.  And of course, our uncle took us around some.

I'm getting all excited now.  I probably won't have time to get everything out before my husband has to go to California for his surgery.  Darn!!

I also just found my husband's info that his Motherf and Aunt had put together.  Can't wait!!
I remember my Mother's aunt Addie.  We visited her a lot.

PS The data I am finding is from familysearch.org at   https://familysearch.org/

There is a free search tool and you can enter names, approximate dates/locations etc. of b, m, d and probably find even more, when you have the time.
