Requesting Access to Tree

My great-grandfather is already on WikiTree. His profile is:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Henderson-9073

I want to add his children (including my grandmother), his wife, and other relevant information. I have sent private messages and posted on the profile, but the profile manager is not replying and I believe gone inactive.  I even have photos of him with my grandmother - and other people in the family.

How can I add them? It is making all my aunts and uncles appear as half-siblings in my family tree because this person won't respond. Also, it makes the overall wiki-tree inaccurate.

How is this normally handled?

From your great-grandfather's profile page, click on the "Family Tree and Tools" tab. There are four tabs just above the family tree section, click the "Contact" tab. Scroll down, at the bottom is a link to the "Unresponsive Profile Manager Request Form." Click that link and follow the instructions.

For this specific profile you can also use this link it will take you directly to the unresponsive profile manager request form https://www.wikitree.com/contact/upm/Henderson-9073 Please keep in mind that there is some prerequisites before filing a UPM that must be followed and that these things take time.
Thank you, Steve and Deb. I didn't see that before. I made the request 5 days ago, so I will wait another 2 - but she hasn't added anything in 11 months, so I will hopefully, be able to adopt the profile.

If the profile manager is not responding I think you can just go ahead and make the needed changes. The only thing that requires a profile manager is merging and changing the last name at birth. So go ahead and add children photos ect.

If you want to be made the profile manager and the original profile manager is inactive there is a link here that will tell you what to do:

Thank you. I don't have the option to add anything, though. It is saying I have to be on the "trusted" list to make any changes.
Oh I guess he died early enough that it's a private profile. Sorry
Actually, he died in the 1950's, so I guess it's the way the profile manager selected to set the privacy. How recently are they considered "private"?

Apparently "people born over 150 years ago or who died over 100 years ago must be Open". I don't do much with private profiles since I don't have any close cousins on wikitree.

Ok. Thank you. I haven't changed any of the privacy settings that Wiki created, so I don't know if my profiles are private or not. Guess I will be checking those out after I get my GEDcom completely unraveled.
