Connecting Winston Churchill, Lizzie Borden, and Robert Laird Borden to the Global Family Reunion

They may not be within 25 degrees of AJ like the folks grabbed by Roland's amazing app, but Winston ChurchillLizzie Borden, and Canadian Prime Minister Robert Laird Borden are all connected to the Global Family Reunion Tree, if we can get their common connections into WikiTree.

Their common ancestor is Richard Borden, an early settler of Rhode Island. Their common cousin who is already connected to the Global Family Reunion is Jefferson Borden, who also needs to be connected back to Richard.

Who is in to help out with this? Even though the connections are distant on this project, they are important ones to make toward the overall goal of WikiTree.

Sir Robert Borden is also connected to Laura Secord (Canadian heroine of the War of 1812, and namesake of delicious ice cream and chocolate)

I will put this on my list of connections to play with, although I have little experience with early American settlers.

oh... not sure how to do this. Sir Robert Borden's profile is locked. No parents listed.
What is Sir Robert's profile number, Heather? I can talk to the PM to see if they'd be willing to open it so we can make some connections for them. Thanks for helping!
Awesome, Erin!  I will see if I can get a few minutes to work some of the lines this weekend.
I just sent off a message to Eugene Quigley, who is the Profile Manager.
This Global Family Reunion Tree is the best history lesson I've ever gotten.
I am also getting some great history lessons along the way.

Heather - There are profiles for Sir Robert Laird Borden's parents now - Andrew Borden and Eunice Jane Laird Borden. Both are open, so you can go ahead and make connections from them.  Excited to see the Laura Secord connection! Thanks!
