I'd like a review of my work please

I have made a first pass at the One Name Study for my surname.  If anyone is bored and has the time would you mind giving it a read and telling me where changes should be made and where improvements could usefully be added.

As I am new to both Wikitree and wiki-editing feel free to point out basic errors.  I'm thick-skinned enough to take it, honest.

Thanks in advance, Stephen

I think your regnal year dates are both off by a year. Edward III reigned from Jan 1327 so the 25th year of his reign began in  Jan 1351. That makes the Sunday after the Feast of Saint Lucia the 18th December 1351. Similarly the date from the 9th year of Henry VI's reign should be 1st May 1431.
Thank you!  Corrections made.  Medieval dates are new to me!  Stephen
Stephen, I’m working with the Quakers Project to Cleanup individual profiles in the general “Quakers” Category. Do you happen to know the Monthly Meeting Names for your Trueblood Quaker Ancestors? I’m trying to move each profile into their correct MM. Any help is appreciated.

P.S. The profiles like very nice, I like the integration of images.

Jennifer,  It's complicated.  300 years of Quakerdom and some wanderlust thrown in.

  1. The first two generations of Truebloods in Lincolnshire predate George Fox and are Anglicans
  2. Generations 3-5 are part of the Broughton And Gainsborough Monthly Meeting, which is the first meeting in Lincolnshire and covers most of the county at that point. See the Beckingham Quakers page for (way too much) detail.
  3. The first 3 generations in North Carolina worship at the Newbegun MM
  4. The family moves to the Cane Creek MM in North Carolina and finally
  5. they move to the Lick Creek MM in Indiana

Thank you, that’s wonderful! wink I’ll get to work replacing the general Quakers category with known MMs. I’ll also request the creation of any MMs missing from MM Categories. It’s a mini Quaker Project of mine.

Sure would be easier if I could just quote you and say “personal knowledge” or better yet, “first hand information”. cheeky

Hi Stephen

The first thing that occurs to me is that I am still the manager of the Trueblood ONS. Perhaps you could send a Trusted List request as I asked 6 days ago, so I can complete the creation and set you as manager! smiley
