Zola was my great-great-grandmother. After she had my grandfather Laurence in Flora, Clay, llinois her and my great-great-grandfather Heber, moved to Los Angeles. They had one more son, my great-uncle Ramon They divorced and she lost custody of the boys. She married a man named Fred White and they had one daughter who lived one day. My great-great-grandmother Zola died nine months later of sepsis on April 9, 1904 and is in an unmarked grave in Glendale, CA.

No one in the family has no knowledge of her and I in the appointed genealogist.

One clue is that on the 1900 US Census, she says that her father was born in West Virginia and her mother in Illinois.("United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M9PJ-5HK : accessed 13 November 2018), Frances Hunter in household of Lee Hunter, Precinct 47 Los Angeles city Ward 7, Los Angeles, California, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 61, sheet 1A, family 3, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1972.); FHL microfilm 1,240,090.)
