Same person or two different people?

+7 votes
While Working through the tree, I proposed a merge of Bowman-801 and Bowman-1464 , because of their shared spouse on Wikitree ( ).  Jon pointed out that these may be two different people, and delayed the merge.

Bowman-801 is clearly more researched and documented.  Bowman-1464 appears to be a conglomeration of links and no actual sources.

Are these two different people?  Or, if the birthdate on Bowman-1464 is incorrect, are they the same person?

As a new arborist I have been cautious about this type of situation-usually postponing with message to profile managers to clarify data/birth and death dates/parents or whatever discrepancy then merge if necessary. This answer seems to indicate I am being too picky.

I would say they probably are a match and 1464, having no real sources is probably in error.
