What is the best category name to use for immigrants from Corleone, Italy to New York, United States?

Question

I'm researching people (mostly those named Cascio and their relations) who were alive in Corleone, Palermo, Italy, 1850-1900, and have been able to document the immigration of some of the individuals. I'd like to create a page for immigrants from this village in Sicily to New York City. I've included a link to one such person as an example.

 Is this category too specific?

I would say that if it was fairly common for people to migrate from Corleone to New York (which I'm guessing it was), then it's not too narrow of a category. The country to country immigration categories run the risk of getting way too big, so I think it's good to split them up whenever it makes sense to do so.

So, the category you want would probably be called Corleonesi Immigrants to New York. That category would be a subcategory of Italian Immigrants to America.

Thank you! The Wikipedia page for Corleone says the demonym is Corleonesi. Would Corleonese be the plural?

Actually, I think you're right that it should be Corleonesi. At first I thought Corleonese because Corleonesi, the demonym, is a noun (and we want an adjective to go before Immigrants) while Corleonese is an adjective. But according to Wiktionary Corleonese is also the plural adjective. :P Like I said, my Italian grammar = rusty.

I recently added a category for Sicilian Immigrants to the United States, with the sub Category of Alia, Sicilia.  Alia is just a few miles east of Corleone, but most of the immigration from Alia was to New Orleans to work in the sugar cane fields. I also added Kingdom of the Two Sicilies as a subcategory for Former countries of Europe, because Italy was not unified until 1870, and Sicily was part of Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
