I am editing the following profile that had personal information in the Bio, I moved this info to == Memories ==, then discovered that the original creator of the profile, a relative of the profile person, is no longer a member of Wikitree. Are there WikiTree guidelines I should follow in this circumstance, regarding the personal family info for this profile ? https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Nichols-9825

Bearing in mind that any changes you make can be undone, I would consider summarizing what the original PM has stated. Certainly it seems there is much investigation needed to determine parentage, etc and DNA might prove helpful. I would be concerned that one or more of the people mentioned are still alive and as such should not be mentioned. As it is, the bio is poorly written and lacks objectivity so any change you make will be an improvement.

Hi Sandie!

A couple things - the Memories section would need to be subsection of the Biography (so it needs 3 === signs on each side).

If you adopt the profile you'll be able to see the separate, private Memories Box and be able to move any private information.  That why it's retained for any family members who might come along and be interested in that person but it also isn't visible to just anyone.

Thanks for working on it!
