Buried in Old Savannah Church Cemetery in Jackson County, North Carolina. Ashe sometimes is spelled Ash. Same family looking to connect to my other Ashe Families. Thanks.

Elcana Ashe married Mary Mayson on 18 Aug 1843 in Macon, NC.

1870 US Census shows E C Ash as 46 yrs old, wife Mary is 44 yrs old.

Daughters Laura A is 13 and Ashbury B Ash, son I assume is 6 yrs old.

1880 US Census in Yahoola, Lumpkin, GA CW Ash age 56 working as a farmer. Wife is Rosa M age 31. Son Howard M Ashe is 2 yrs and stepson Jas C Walker is 11 years. Wife and sons are born in GA. CW Ash b NC.
