How to search for marriage info Colonial South Carolina

Question

Can anyone share advice on possible places to start looking for Marriage records for 1750-60’s colonial South Carolina? All I know is the location my ancestor lived. It was pretty much in the backwoods along a river. No clue if there was a church in the area.

I’m grasping for straws! I can’t stand the fact that this hasn’t been discovered as well as (correct) parents names.

Anyone else that’s run into this problem? Any advice is appreciated :)
