I wanted to share this family photo of Emile Pierre Fournier with the community. Location: Probably still overseas - 1943 date was behind photo.  I love this picture, I love that it was hand colored.  I also knew this man personally,  he was very kind and gentle.  After I scanned this photo, I gave it to his grandson.

I love Emile's expression in this beautifully colorized photograph.  His eyes show a rare depth of emotional awareness and wisdom, and his relaxed brow and eyes suggest Emile was a man capable of soothing situations and people through his great calm.  Here is a man who seems to embody the finest qualities of dignified respect in the armed forces--and one who seems capable of responding appropriately to a wide variety of situations in military and civilian life.  Thanks so much for ensuring this photo will be saved for posterity by posting it at WikiTree, and thanks for sharing it with Emile's grandson, too!

I think you have him bang on: After the war, perhaps within 10 years, "Mel" became the manager of the Continental Hotel in North Bay.  I would suspect that he would have needed some "people skills" in order to keep the Hotel running smoothly.

(Thank you for those kind words, they brought tears to my eyes.)
