Owen Nash arrived on the 'Sultana' in 1850. He had 6 children - Mary, Denis, Patrick, John, Owen and Catherine.
On the ship's log Owen's son John is listed as the son of his brother Denis for some reason. However, young John later became a newspaper correspondent, and wrote an article in the Chronicle (Adelaide), dated 21st March 1914, which clearly states that his parents had 4 sons and 2 daughters, and arrived on the 'Sultana' in 1850.
Luckily John married in Victoria, so his mother's maiden name is on the marriage record - her maiden name was Buckley.
Owen's son Denis, was a brewer in Salisbury, and later lived in Pt. Pirie.
