Are there reliable written sources to verify the link between Thomas Lassiter (1586), and Robert Lassiter(1635)?

What documentation is available for either of them so far? A quick search turned up speculation, different names, an unverified story his brother Edward was on the Mayflower, etc.

Library of Virginia land records mention a George Lassiter in the time period. There are some Lassiter's in volumes 2 and 3 of Nugent "Cavaliers and Pioneers; Abstracts of Virginia Land Patents and Grants" but you'll need a log-in to Hathi Trust to read them or else find in a library.

Cavaliers and Pioneers; Abstracts of Virginia Land Patents and Grants

I found a free version online here, but no mention of the Lassiters. I added some sources, sorry if they aren't formatted correctly

I am also having some confusion with this branch.  John Lassiter-60 is listed as living from 1669-1759 which is highly unlikely. Elsewhere, it has been estimated that he was born around 1699 but I have no source. There is also some confusion about who is his father. I have seen George Lassiter-175 and Robert Lassiter-176 as well.
