Thank-you for your kind comment.  Family records tell us that he was an extremely kind and caring man.  He and Jane migrated from New York to Ohio shortly after their marriage.  He was first in the lumber industry as a 'sawyer' but also began farming and they raised 12 of their 13 children on their farm in Ashland County, Ohio.
