Was Phineas Ward's (b 1705 MA) wife Mary really Mary Wright?

Hi:

I can't find any source, other than online trees, that shows the last name of Phineas Ward's wife Mary?

Looks to me that she should be Mary Unknown.

Can anyone else find something about her?

I don't have a source for you, but I think your note on the profile is good that states that there is no source for her last name at birth.  There is no reason to merge her into Mary Unknown.  If she were my ancestor, I'd be inclined to add a note to her bio -- like last name at birth of Wright is unsourced.
I think I would take the opposite approach.   I would change the LNAB to Unknown, and then note the possible name as Wright.  All of the sources available specifically list her as Mary ______.
I completely understand but this actually causes another link for the profiles.  It would be better to let her stay as Wright than have her merged twice, once to unknown and then back to a lnab if one can be found.  If she gets switched to unknown, someone will come along and make a profile for Mary Wright and then there will be another merge.  It's a lesser of two evils solution.  It would have been so nice if she hadn't been created as Wright without sources.
I understand the preference to have fewer redirects, which is why I posted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Clearly stating that a name is Unknown is very important.  For this time period, I think its quite unlikely that a name will be discovered.  But clearly marking it as such in the LNAB, I think is an important part of relaying accurate information.
