On what date do you estimate that WikiTree will award the DNA tested badge for the 100,000th time?  The number is currently 98,914 https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:Badges&b=dna_tested

Well on October 21st 2016 there was 32,000 See Post However I'm sure now since the Black Friday sale and I'm sure there will be a Christmas sale there will be a crunch for awhile for results to come back.

Thanks for pointing that out, Peter. We will put a mention in the newsletter when we reach 100,000.

Well.. we'd be a lot closer if 'someone' had not removed the dozen DNA entries I had connected. All managed by me, all connected to the correct profiles, with consent.
However none of my family are interested in this and do not want to have to create accounts to manage just so I can 'play around with the genealogy stuff'.
I wonder how many other kits were lost this same way?

Hello Jim,

If you have their permission then you can create their profile using a unique e-mail address (e.g. gmail) (for that profile) which you manage.
I realize that Peter, it's just the hassle of it all.. I now have to go create addresses for them, create profiles for them, etc, when everything was working nicely before.
All the changes make me want to contribute less and less.

Only 8 more to go...

Drumroll !!!   100005 !!!

(Probably happened an hour ago - 5:30pm EST)

.....yes

Amazing, that's a recent average of almost 80 a day!  Tires me out just thinking of that many new people needing help with DNA!

As of 20 Dec 2018, WikiTree users have indicated they have taken over 88,000 autosomal DNA tests:

49,388 AncestryDNA https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&id=2

22,416 23andMe https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&id=1

10,986 FTDNA Family Finder https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&id=6

4,871 MyHeritageDNA https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&id=12

530 LivingDNA https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&id=13

88,191 total (several of them tested with more than one lab)

Unfortunately the percentage of those 88,000 who are in GEDmatch and have more than three generations viewable in WikiTree is relatively low.
