Thanks.  I found all the burial data already.  I’m attempting to gather documentation specifically for the birth of Ransom Babcock, marriage of David Babcock Jr/Betsey Goss in Warren and Washington Counties, New York and ultimately, a narrative/timeline of the period between Stonington, Connecticut, Ft. Ann, NY, Bolton, NY and Lake George, NY.  I’m setting a fairly high bar to find a family dairy or letters that refers to these topics.  I currently have inquiries sent to the referenced counties’ historians.  Time and perseverance will prevail, perhaps.
David, I realize you're looking for an earlier period but I thought the following might be relevant:

"Betsey Goss in the New York, Compiled Census and Census Substitutes Index, 1790-1890: Betsey Goss, Batavia township, Genesee County for year 1860. Record type: Federal Population Schedule, pg219, database: NY 1860 Federal Census Index." Online record source access thru: [www.Ancestry.com].

Also:

"Betsey Goss in the Massachusetts, State Census, 1855: Betsey Goss, female, birth abt 1799 in Vermont. Residence: Mendon, Worcester, Massachussets, USA. Enumeration year: 1855. Age: 56. Household no., 2. Reel No., 29, Volume no: 40. Household members: Henry Goss, age 82; Mary Goss, age 80; Betsey Goss, age 56." Online record source access thru: [www.Ancestry.com].

"Massachusetts, Compiled Birth, Marriage and Death Records for: Betsey Goss, birth, 6 Mar 1802 in West Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, USA. Publication: Boston, Massachusets. Father: Gideon Goss. Mother: Sally Goss." Online record source access thru: [www.Ancestry.com].

I hope this helps.  :)

Leigh Anne
Betsey Goss I’m looking for: parents: Comfort Goss, Dorcas Stevens Goss, b. 1778, NY.  Married to David Babcock (2) of Stonington, CN. Lived in Washington County (Ft. Ann/Westfield) and Warren County (Bolton), NY, circa 1794-1819. Also Ransom Babcock b. 1800 same area, m. Sally Sturdevant yr? same area.
Albany had newspapers published during that time frame. There might be references to the family there. I've also been looking for records from that time period and in that area, but I haven't had luck yet.
There may also be a "History of ....." for Warren County, PA as were written for other nearby communities in the mid 1800s and early 1900s. The histories tend to give brief biographical sketches of families, who came from where, etc.
Good luck, and if you have any luck with Albany area records, I'd love to hear about it.
