merge duplicate names

Question

I am James Douglas Eakins

The profile I entered for myself list me as "Eakins-176".

An entry created by my cousin, Jonathan S. Mills, lists me as "Eakins -125".

When I attempt a merge of these two entries it fails and the following message is displayed at the top of the window:  "James Eakins has GEDCOM uploads that have not yet been processed. The profile cannot be merged until those uploads have been processed or deleted."

How does one find out about pending GEDCOM uploads?

You need to message him and ask him to either merge or give you access. as a trusted member. There might be a match option on the merge page. this allows you to match them as the same person but they have not been merged yet.
