Can someone open an orphaned profile for me? I want to attach sources to it. [closed]

I found a profile that is orphaned yet the public level is not open so it cannot be edited, and I can't change the public level, nor can I adopt it.  I think this happened because I just attached the profile to its parents, whose other children are living and private.  The public level always gets set to private when you add siblings of living people, I noticed.

Ironically, this private orphan is a profile I created earlier.  I added all the people named Parent in this cemetery in Wisconsin in an earlier project to connect them to each other.  I had no leads at the time as to who Evelyn's parents were, so I moved on and lost track of her.  Now with census records I am completing this old project of mine.  But now she's locked.  I need help in order to edit her profile now.

Can an admin or someone open her profile so it can be edited?  Thank you.

Can't you adopt it?

I cannot.  It gives me an error message "The profile is not public so it cannot be adopted."

That's annoying!

I guess it's wait until someone can open it for you, then, time.
Place your data in the memories or Note box, The data won't be lost then.

When on the profile page, if you go to  the top right hand tool bar under the Parent-32 is a dropdown list -one of the options (about 14 down) is the option "open profile request". Follow that link and explain that the profile is orphaned but closed and you want to source it, and the Wiki Tree team should open the profile for you so you can either adopt it or work on it without adopting it. The team usually open it quickly and then you should get an email notification to let you know it has been opened.

I wonder if adopting the parents enables you to unlock the child?

Not expecting you to try it. But one of the better informed Wikitreers might have the answer. When they come along
