Do you have information about Lord Lovat's descendants?

My ancestor, Christan Fraser, born c1635, married Thomas Michel in Kirkhill about 1760. I know of two daughters of Thomas and Christan - both born in Kirkhill:

Mary, born 10 Feb 1760, and Katharin, born 17 September 1762. Katharin is my 4 x great-grandmother. I have not been able to trace her ancestry beyond this information.

As I do this email, my Crossan gedcom is waiting in the queue to be uploaded.

Thank you

hello , I was wondering if you found some answers about this question, My great grandfather was Gordon Lovat Fraser , and i am currently looking for more on the side of the family. My father had told me years ago about the relations , but it is hard to recall, and i would love to find some links. thank you.
Apart from the comment below, which I cannot relate to my Fraser ancestor, I have not had any comments. We will be visiting Scotland later this year, and I am hoping to find out something there. Keep in touch so I can let you know if I find anything useful.
oh wonderful, safe travilings and if you can keep me updated with what you may or may not find thank you

Thank you Heather - we are looking forward to the trip with great anticipation. We are planning to stay in Kirkhill near Inverness where my Fraser ggggg grandmother bore her children - I do not have a record of her birth. The early records I do have are from FamilySearch.org, so one needs to be careful, as they are not always accurate, but I do know that Kirkhill figured prominently in this brance of my family.

We get back to Australia mid-November, so please remind me if you have not heard from me by the end of that month!

Cheers

Hi,  Scotlands People is the official web site for all Scottish birth, marriage, death and census information.   Their office is Register House, Princes St,  Edinburgh.   You can also visit their offices to do research.

We will be in Edinburgh somewhere between the 18th and 25th October. What are your opening hours, and what charge will there be to research?

Hi Sandra.  Here's a link which will give you all the info you need. http://www.scotlandspeoplehub.gov.uk/index.html    It's £15 for the day or part day.   For that you can view as many records as you wish !!   Take a USB stick to download over 100 year old birth certs etc and lots of paper to take notes of under 100 year old birth etc info.  (i.e info which is not allowed online yet)  There's a small charge for downloads.  The staff are very helpful.   Maria
