James Bicknell married Priscilla Coxon 8 May 1842 in Bristol St Peter, Gloucestershire, England

Her father was Benjan Coran (deceased)

The 1st witness was Isabella Bicknell, and the 2nd witness was James Vine

Document type Bishop's transcripts
Archive Bristol Archives
Archive reference EP/V/4/41

or you could send for the paper certificate, as 1842 was within the GRO civil registration.  This would have the fathers' names on it.

Does it not show the bicknell fathers name?
Sorry, no. Either it was not there in the first place, or the transcriber did not transcribe it.

Her father was Benjamin Coxon. "Benjan Coran" is a transcription error.

I don't have the finances to continue on bicknell line unfortunately. Oh well.
The finances? It's never been cheaper or easier. James's father was probably called William (eldest son's name) as the next two were Benjamin (after Priscilla's father) and James (after himself).
Isabella is probably his mother died 1853

There's an Isabella Bicknell aged 47 living in Clifton, Bristol (just a couple of miles from the marriage location) in the 1841 census. Highly likely to be James's mother, his father having died.

"England and Wales Census, 1841," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7MZ-3F3 : 13 December 2017), Isabella Bicknell in household of Willm Harman, Clifton, Gloucestershire, England; from "1841 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO HO 107, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey

Ignore the age "correction" - it's 47 on the image. That would correspond to a birth in 1793/4 which fits well with James being born c. 1813.

Is there no marriage for isabella?
