Welsh patronymic naming where a person changes from a patronymic naming system to a family naming system.

Hi, I need some help with regard to patronymic names as used in Wales so maybe someone from the Wales project can assist. The profile of Evan Francis (Francis-5311) was created by myself a few months ago. I have now determined that his father was Francis John Lewys as Evan is referenced in the will of Francis John Lewys and his signature on a document in the will matches the signature of Evan on his own will. Both wills are available for viewing at the National Library of Wales and can be seen on line at http;//hdl.handle.net/10107/561944 for Evan Francis and at http;//hdl.handle.net/10107/850458. There are also abstracts available on Family Search at
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-RH92-ZX?owc=M6KJ-J38%3A174219701%3Fcc%3D1876640&wc=M6KV-129%3A174219701%2C174786401&cc=1876640
you will need to find the relevant year and then the correct page to locate them.
So the question is do I create a profile for Francis John Lewys with LNAB Lewys or some other LNAB e.g Unknown as it would appear that his father would be Lewys Unknown until his name can be identified. Secondly should i update Evan Francis LNAB to show that he is the first in the family to transition from a patronymic naming system to a family name.
Clearly I will document in the profiles of both Evan and his father the naming convention used and in particular that the convention changed with Evan.
This is the first time I have come across this issue in my research so any help on WikiTree convention for Welsh Heritage would be welcome.
Thank you.

I wouldn't rush to create the father, as it's quite likely on the face of it that he's Francis ap John Lewis, son of John ap Lewis, son of Lewis. The ap was often dropped even while continuing the old style.
