Is Mary Dickerson Wagner from Ohio or Germany?

It appears that Mary may have actually been from Germany. This would put into question whether the attached 1850 Census is actually her and her husband.

Linked by his marriage record to his parents, the son Elza was born in Butler Ohio in 1822. Asher seems to be living in Indiana in 1820. Elza seems to think his mother was born in Germany and his father in Vermont. This conflicts with the information listed currently for the parents.

More research is need to determine if these are two seperate families.

Without doing any research I would say that Dickerson is unlikely to be a German name (unless very bastardized).  It usually takes a while for a name to morph.  But it happens.
