Primary documentation as to the birth/marriage of Betsey (Paddock) Lawrence?

I have pretty good documentation that Betsey Lawrence is my 7th ggrandmother; I've been trying to find primary documentation as to her birth/birthname and marriage.

A powerful piece of evidence I do have is that her son Justus Lawrence (my 6th ggrandfather) named his second daughter "Paddock", presumably his mother's maiden name if this tree is right.

Is she a documented Mayflower descendant? She was put in the tree as William Brewster's fourth great granddaughter.

Roser, Susan E. Mayflower Births and Deaths: From the Files of George Ernest Bowman at the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants. Volumes 1 & 2. Baltimore, MD: Genealogical Publishing Company, Inc., 1992.

Betey Paddock b. (   ) was daughter of David Paccock and Mary Foster (d/o Mercy Freeman)

David Paddacks Bette baptized Jan 29 1737/8 <ref> Records of the First Parish in Brewster. Mayflower Descendant 7:96</ref>

A list of David's children's births the last says. "Betey Paddack daughter*" The *footnote says "This entry was left unfinished"  The previous child on the list was Anthony b. 4 Oct 1736 indicating that the baptism date is probably fairly close to her birthdate.<ref>Harwich, Mass., Vital Records. Mayflower Descendant 13:56</ref>

The parish in Brewster records say Anthony was bpt 17 Oct 1736

The marriage seems to be a generation off. He was born 1705.

Definitely off since the son Justus was born in 1737. So whoever Joseph Lawrence married it was not Betey the d/o David Paddock. Sorry about that.
Thanks Anne, this does appear to be the source for the birthdate and parents of this profile.

So is this evidence that there is another Bette Lawrence, possibly born Paddock, who is the mother of Justus--who was born in Sandwich?

Is there anything else out there on Justus's mother?
Yes I would look for another mother for Justus. I didn't see anything in my brief searching.
Thanks. I hope I can figure out Justus.

Here are some other possible clues

A Paddock Lawrence was born to Justus Lawrence and wife Deborah July 1, 1767 at Barnstable. May be a clue.

Hannah Lawrence, daughter of Joseph and Betty (Paddock) Lawrence was born Sept 4, 1735. She married Seth Barlow, had several children and apparently died in Lee, Massachusetts. The source is NEHGR 172:73-4. Taking a look at Sandwich VR, she is shown immediately above Justus in the births section, children of the same parents, Joseph and Bette Laurance (sic) .

The NEHGR source for Hannah Lawrence, also cites Paddock Genealogy for her parentage ( Curfman, Robert Joseph,. The Paddock genealogy : descendants of Robert Paddock of Plymouth Colony, blacksmith and constable, 1646. Fort Collins, Colo.: Curfman, 1986.), page 48, which is available via Ancestry. Page 48 shows the same marriage that Anne found. One possible clue, though, is that it gives Joseph Lawrence's birth date as March 29, 1705; he died in Harwich in 1763, and was the son of Joseph, and grandson of Robert. Clearly the Betty shown is not correct...

Jemima Lawrence named Hannah Lawrence in her 1758 will, as the "eldest daughter of my brother Joseph Lawrance". Same NEHGR article, citing Barnstable County probate.

If nothing else, hopefully these clues can help..
