Is your Robert Bannerman my Robert Tate Bannerman or his father?

My name is John Bannnerman and my question is about your Robert Bannerman.   There are 2 in my family history.  First is Robert Tate Bannerman born in North Carolina March 27, 1809 who died in 1870 (married to Rebecca Player).  The second is his father (my GGGG Grandfather) Robert Bannerman who was born in 1752 in Wilmington, North Carolina and died February 22, 1843 (married to Hester Williams).   Just wondering if either of these are your Robert Bannerman?   Many thanks in advance for your help in this regards......John

There is much info out there on the Bannermans.  Hester Player married George Bannerman.  The Players and Bannermans intermarried a lot. There are Bannerman Bible records which you should explore.  Check the DAR Library and Databases for records. The Bannermans wrote many journals. Some settled in Fla and TX- after leaving NC.   I am descendant of George and Rebecca Player Bannerman... A lot of records have been destroyed.... but family descendants hold a lot of records fortunately.  I dont have any, but I know they exist.
