I have information to contribute to the profile of John Box. This is what I can add:

These are the sources I am using:

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Joseph, your query is incomplete. Can you edit it to include what you can add and what sources you are using? Thanks!
There is already a source on the profile that disproves the existence of the son.
Pip, I was using the source provided in the profile of John Box, the "ancient planter" Box-113.  It clearly says he had no son.  His wife was Mary Hues and they had a daughter named Mary and she inherited his land when John and Mary, the wife had both died.

In checking the status of John Box, the "ancient planter" just now  I see that Liz has fixed that profile....but the John Box, Jr. still lives as Box-110   based upon the same documentation.

Thanks for your interest,

Joe
Joseph, would you be willing to clean up the relevant narratives (including removing "Jr" )? If there is doubt about Junior's existence, you could add the Uncertain Existence template.

Profile for John Box, Jr., Box-110, detached. Thanks Joseph.

The nRrative still says John was the son of John.

a lot of the profile text doesn't match the profile. as I noted when I added the research note on Box-113 about Box-110: "detached profile for son & added Research Notes (in the wrong place - at the bottom of the profile... see Help:Biographies - profile needs cleanup)"

the text for Box-110 has same copied text that's posted to his profile, so it needs cleanup too
