Cavil, Cavill or Cavell in Quebec?

Question

Hello

After taking a DNA test and finding quite a lot of North American matches, I found out that my great-great-great-great-great grandmother, Dinah Gibson, emigrated to Quebec early in the 19th century.

My g-g-g-g grandfather, Thomas Gibson, was Dinah's son, born around 1809 in Yorkshire. It turns out she then married George Cavil (variously spelled Cavil/Cavill/Cavel) in 1810 in Yorkshire before they emigrated. As far as we know, Thomas was left behind, perhaps with his grandparents.

Are any Wikitreers (?) related to George and Dinah (or Diana as she seems to have become known in Canada)? I don't have a very good grasp of doing research in Canada/USA and as some of the Ancestry tree material on the family seems a little bit unclear it would be great to work it out!
