Do you have to sign-up every weekend if you wish to participate in the Saturday sourcing?

This was asked before and the answer was yes you do but no explanation was given to the follow up question of "why"? I really don't understand why there are so many sourcing projects running concurrently. Please explain why you have a Saturday sourcing category on top of several other sourcing categories and why Tracker can't automatically enroll you.

Thanks,

I haven't had to sign up for the Saturday Sourcing.  I just click the Saturday Sourcing box after sourcing and it adds my name and adds to my source count.

Karen, you really should be signing up each weekend. The tracker will count it if you use the tracker but that doesn't mean you are in the running to get a winner's badge if you haven't signed up.
I haven't had the time to devote to working toward a badge, so it doesn't matter if I don't actually respond.  Thank you for clarifying it.  Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year!!

Yes, you need to sign up each time so that the people running the challenge can keep track of badges and winners. If you want to participate, it really isn't that difficult to pop into the thread and post "Me too" so that they'll know you're on board. It prevents the organizers from having to go through a very long list of tracker entries for people who may have only used it once or twice to see what it was about but really have no long-term interest in being a Sourcerer.

The other sourcing challenge lasts for a month, and you have to sign up each time for that one also.

Thanks. I think I get it now. I didn't realize it was a competition. Can I win a new car? <GRIN>
