Locate source for Selfe-34's marriage to Wellby-1

Family history sources show Rebecca Self(e) married Alfred Thomas Wellby in 1874 in NSW.  As my research shows that Rebecca and Alfred lived and died in Queensland I have included Queensland in my searches.

I have done as best I can searches through NSW and Qld BD&M with no marriage showing that I believe could be this one.  I have also entered their data on Ancestry and My Heritage and One Great Family in case I could pick up more clues - nothing.

In fact most trees show Rebecca as dying in NSW and totally miss her second marriage to John William Franklin.  I researched that she actually died in Mackay, Qld.

Rebecca gave her surname as Wellby when she married again.

This is very frustrating, any help would be appreciated.

Cheers, Sonya

Hi Wayne,

If you can spare the time I would be grateful for the help.  It's not an urgent matter - I don't want to tie up your resources.  It does however seem to be one of those little dead ends that no one has sorted out.

I am in Denmark until the end of May so if I am slow to respond it's simply a matter of time zones.

Many thanks for your kind offer, just let me know how/what to look at and I will do my best.

Cheers, Sonya
