I've joined the project because so many of my ancestors hale from England and Wales. However, reading the parameters of the project, I don't understand the statement below. Does this mean that I'm not able to put the UK Project badge on those profiles, or just that people within the project can add as they see fit?

  • Template:United Kingdom - Used only for profiles managed by Project:United Kingdom This includes Wales, England & Scotland. Not for use on Scottish Clans, or Irish Roots due to them having their own template."

Hi Lisa, the template you are looking at has a specific purpose in identifying specific profiles that are actually managed by the UK project.

You can use the {{England Sticker}} and {{Wales Sticker}} on your own profiles, adding below the Biography heading. It adds a nice little sticker on the profile.

This is more detail on both: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:England_Sticker

What are the additional parameters that make a profile part of the UK Project?
