I have entered a date incorrectly.

The date should have read 1st July 1914. But has dated the marriage as 7th Jan 1914. How do I correct this.

I did that a few times but it still did not change how should one enter a date maybe I did it the wrong way round
Type it in as 01 July 1914 and it should stick.

ah, I see your problem now... when typing just numbers for dates, computers are not smart enough to guess if 1/7/1914 (or 7/1/1914) means 1st July or 7th Jan.

Americans tend to always order by month/day/year, while Europeans usually order by day/month/year.

I forget which is the default for WikiTree. Even as an American, I personally prefer to use the European style, as it makes more logical sense.

Instead of numbers, spell out the month and leave no room for doubt (it will accept either order then).

THIS is a better answer than the one selected.  Is it bad protocol to reselect?

specifically, for marriage data... while in "Edit" mode, on the right side column, click the link to "Edit the marriage to..."
Many thanks have got it right
