If I have a large *.ged file and need to break it up, can I upload multiple *.ged files?

Yes, you can. But I would strongly suggest that you upload one small one first. You should get a good idea of what's involved in managing profiles before you upload a lot of people.
Thanks. I uploaded my full one first, but I wish I had done a smaller one as you suggest first. I am starting to upload split files to make things easier. I appreciate the response.

including screenshots that you might find helpful.
The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
