Information on Mary Rachel Rodriquez possible born 1930's

Question

I am looking for Mary Rachel Rodriquez who had a child with
Edward R. Serrato. Ramona Maria Serrato was born Jan 4 1954.
in Los Angles county. Guadalupe Serrato Valenzuela was her Aunt. Her grandfathers name was Alfred L. Serrato. He died on December 5,  1991 and his estate was in Los Angles county.

Her mother Mary Rachel Rodriquez was Tongva-Gabrialino Indian.

There was a Mary  R. Rodriguez born Norwalk Calif. Later lived 112th street

in Los Angeles later lived on So. Figueroa L.A.She was born Sept 1930

U.S.Public Records Index,Volume 1.Ramona mothers maiden name was

Rodriguez.Then there was a Edward Serrato born Nov 2 1930 who died in

Los Angeles,mothers maiden name Rivera.His Social security # 718-09-1292.

These two people in the right place at the right time.If these prove right i may

be able to go further back.

Mary R. Rodriguez Returned to her Norwalk Calif. address in 1996. Perhaps

her and Edward Serrato were never married.I have not found any marriage'

records.And she returns to that address as Mary R. Rodriguez.It also notes
that she is also Known as Maria Rodriguez.

in 1940 census Edward Serrato is living with i suppose his father Alfred L Serrato

Mother Della R. Serrato. His brothers and sisters were Antonio born 1924

Lawrence 1928,John,1934,Teresa,1935,Guadalupe 1936.His father Alfred L.

Serrato born 1903,mother Della born 1903.Edward 1930.They lived at E.102nd

street.Edward finished 2nd grade Elementary school.So not much school.Edward

Serrato died May 1984.same social security # as i found before.I am confident

this is the family.Whether are not they were ever married is uncertain.

Edward and Mary never married and he did die young. I understand he was in jail when she was born and Ramona was born to a mother who used herion.

I don't know when Mary Rachel died?

My question is that  " Aunt Lupe" Guadalupe, got Ramona registered with the Tongva-Gabrialino's Indian tribe. Ramona never had this card.  She was told by Aunt Lupe that she registered her. Her mother Mary Rachel Rodriquez was Tongva-Gabrialino Indian. How do I go about tracing that information?  I have very little information about Mary's family.  When Ramona  was five years old she was sent to live with her Great Aunt, Josephine Rivera Sanchez ( Della's sister) for 10 years. She said she got to see her families old homestead in Azusa, which I am guessing is the Tongva-Gabrialino families.. She got to hear their language. She also remembers visiting a Great Aunt Perta in Glendora, Great Aunt Elsie in Newhall (now Magic Mountain) and Great Uncle Albert in Gilroy, CA. That is all she knows about her mother's family. Ramona was raised by her grandmother, Della Serrato until her death.
