Simpsons from Essex

Question

Hi,

I've recently started getting back into Geneaology.

I got disheartened a while ago when hitting a road block.

I'm stuck at John Simpson and Sarah French.

Ther are the parents of my GG Grandfather (also John Simpson)

Looks as though they are from the Essex region of England.

I have completed a DNA test also, just awaiting results.

Would love to chat to anyone that may have some info.

I did find something recently of William Simpson and Frances Parmenter/Parmentia

Trying to cross reference really.

Your family emigrated from the UK to Australia ... am I wrong to assume you live there?

... and travelled to the UK to trawl round cemeteries on you honeymoon!

It shows your dedication to the research of your family tree.

If we are away anywhere, where I know my family have previously walked, I’ll drag my husband round the old streets, the old neighbourhood and cemeteries looking and hoping to walk in my ancestors footsteps.

I enjoy travelling, but would be more than happy to swap all of my travels to the various countries around the world, for one trip into the past to meet all of my ancestors and see how and where they lived.
