Welcome to Team Tornadoes. We're excited to see all the great images we can add to WikiTree with good old Midwestern elbow grease ;-)

We are less than 12 hours away to the Scan-a-Thon! While I some of us are doing some need last minute scanning *cough cough* me *cough cough* I thought I would share a possible life saving tip. While it would be great if we could identify everybody in the photos that just isn't the case sometimes. Thankfully if that is the case we can still upload the photo. All you have to do is upload it to the Unidentified Family Photos and Scans Category. It explains how to use it right on the page and should help a lot.

I hung out with my Grandma today to finally get some images ID'd that we'd scanned in about a year ago. Ready to start uploading them tomorrow once I'm home from our Friday to-do list!

That's great Abby. I know there is a category now for unknown photos too. I'll add the link here in a bit. I have one photo for sure of a little kid about 1-2 in a bib that says My Mamma Uses Atlas Flour that I don't have even a clue who they are but it is too good not to use.

Good morning, team! I jumped in this am during breakfast and added a few to our count. I'm off to run some errands, but then it looks like a snowstorm in our neck of the woods, so barring any major kid-related interruptions, I should be able to add quite a bit. Have fun! There should be some awesome photos to look through once this is all up. AND don't forget the scanning selfies. I'd love to some of your smiling faces in action. I'll get mine later when it's actually light out-winter hours :-/

I've been working a little this morning during breaks at my job...here's to hoping the boss doens't get ticked at me. :)  Will have more time to work tonight and all weekend.After I finish with my family docs and photos,  I literally have hundreds of cemetery photos I've taken in connection with the Global Cemeteries Project and Military and War, going to try to focus on getting a basic profile created and the photos uploaded and then I'll go back and work on sourcing beyond the monumental inscription source later.  So many photos and information so little time!

Day two, I've started in on my North Platte Cemetery photo stash.  Getting a lot of photos I've needed to get uploaded finally done.  I'm going to have to break out the local history books from my collection when the Scan a Thon is over, a lot of families I'm not familiar with, along with a quite a few I suspect are individual strays from elsewhere.  North Platte has an interesting past being a railroad town, so far I'm doing pretty good at not getting side tracked.

Two One way I stop myself from being sidetracked is I will bookmark that profile so I can find it easier. It also makes it easier for me to then go on with what I was doing.

We are almost officially 24 hours into the thon. I hope every one is having fun. I know I am, maybe a little to much because I haven't be able to sleep for more than 1hr since we started.

If only there were more hours in the day! I am looking forward to connecting all these profiles I've needed to create to upload photos. I have access to a nice stash from several major families in the area, and from what I can see, no one local has started in on adding any to WikiTree. Guess I get to be town historian at this point :-)

That’s awesome that you have access to all of those though. I know I had to create a couple to add grave photos but I made sure to add at least one other source too. Good thing with those graves is that they are all either military or family of military.

Nor'Easters stopping by to congratulate all those that participated in the SCAT. Many photos, documents, gravesites, etc have been added to profiles making them much more informative to view.
