Wiki Markup Editor

+12 votes

I have been working on a Wiki Markup Editor that might help some users who are not familiar with the markup we use here on WIkiTree.

Currently supports:

  • Headings
  • Bold
  • Italics
  • Strikeout
  • Bulleted Lists
  • Numbered Lists
  • Indents
  • Red Text Format
  • Blue Text Format
  • Template (you supply the name)
  • Category (you supply the name)
  • Table generator (you supply the number of columns and rows)

This is just an idea I have been playing with, but feel free to make suggestions for further development...

I like the table generator idea in particular - but all are great.

I can't think of another I'd like to see, except maybe....

"Automatic Brickwall Breakthrough."

This is a great idea. Thanks for your work. Things to consider

citation - the current tool is good enough to include

something that makes it easier to manage

broken links -

paywall links -

Gedcom import messes

One other suggestion: Search the forum for common editing questions and problems. Those are the most common I see.
