Advice before adding child of this pre-1700 Exum profile?

I can add a child to the profile of Mary Ann (Exum) McKinnie. This is who I can add:

These are the sources I am using:

• Southern Gen., Historical Southern Families, v. 1, Exum

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Wiki seemed to insist that I ask someone authorized for pre-1700 for help, before I add or remove a child. Which is what I was doing. I'll try to forge ahead. Thanks.
