Please find Louisa M. Coolidge

Question

Louisa M. Coolidge is my great grandmother, and I'm told we're related to President Calvin Coolidge.  The President had two sons, John and Calvin, but Calvin died at age 16.  So I'm trying to find a connection from the President's son John to Louisa, and therefore to me.

John, son of President Coolidge had 2 daughters, by his first wife Victoria Moor; Cynthia who married a Jeter and Lydia who married a Sayles.    You are correct, son Calvin died in his youth.

You would have to trace Louisa' lineage back quite far to determine if she somehow descended from an ancestor or relative of Calvin Galusha Coolidge b. 1815, as his 2 sons were John Calvin, father of the President, and  Julius C who died at age 19.

What was Louisa's husband's name?  Approximately when and where were they born and/or married?  Was Coolidge her maiden or married name.

Louisa Maria Coolidge (her maiden name) married Alfred Dennis Hurd, my great grandfather.  Louisa was born in 1860 to Horace Hopkins Coolidge and Eunice Maria Weeks -- incidentally, in both instances "Maria" might be spelled "Mariah".

Anyway, Horace's parents were Amos Coolidge, born Feb 2, 1797, and Louisa Hopkins, born 1808.  For much, MUCH more, please see:

That's a pretty thorough chart.  You should be able to trace from Calvin Coolidge b. 1780 backwards by hitting the parent links, and do the same thing with Amos b. 1797 and find your answer!
