Adopt an Un-managed Private Profile?

Specifically Allain-363, Alphee would be my girlfriend's Great-Grandfather who has been dead for 60+ years. When I tried to adpot this profile (it says No Manager and the option to adopt is there) it says "The profile is not public so it cannot be adopted."

Write to info @ wikitree dot com and explain the situation. Perhaps they will be willing to turn the profile over to you.
