The source is Hakluytls "Voyages, Travels and Discoveries." This record should end the debate, hopefully.

What page identifies Samuel Jordan as being on this ship or of his parents?

The University of Virginia has published the account of Silvester Jourdain, "Discovery of the Bermudas,."  He was crewmember on the Sea Venture a totally different man from Samuel Jordan.
