Anyone interested in cleaning up Hannah Carter and her parentage?

Hannah Carter needs help.  One of the parents listed for her had no children when he died and her “mother” appears to be a mythical “Native American” person.  The man listed as her father was executed for his part in Bacon’s Rebellion and is well- documented.

I am going to take on this profile in collaboration with Dennis Stewart, a Carter descendant, who has made a study of the Crewes and Carter lines for many years.  This profile should be adopted by the appropriate project and I will also look into that as well.

Any members with knowledge of this and other profiles in this line are welcome to contribute fact and quality sources.

Carter is not one of my surnames, however in researching for a client years ago I did quite a lot of surname Carter research in Virginia, David you are welcome to that in your effort. Happy to send those files.
David - Let me know if you'd like Virginia Project to be manager.

Cheers, Liz
A perfect choice Liz !
done. Because the relationship with the attached father is Uncertain & from what I'm reading, her LNAB is probably not Crewes, I did not protect the profile.

Posting from a non primary source  when a primary source is available is not helpful...James Crewes did not spell his name as Crowes, Mary got 10,000 lbs of tobo not 1,000.  His Indian slave was named Tero in the will not Tom,  Land was given to him and Another not Mother, Negro made was Kate not Keats ,  Daniel Price not Prise was mentioned ,  Giles was to get the house Crewes had Lett (meaning rented) him not " let him have"  I am sure you did not realize that this was like 16th hand information and a hot mess.
it is a direct quote from Weisiger, and I did not see the will posted on Hannah's profile, which I thought would have been posted. Only trying to help.
