Amy, 2nd wife of Sen. George Parmenter

Hello-- William Parmenter is showing up as an ancestor when I research on Ancestry.com. A Google search led me to this site, which shows that his mother was Amy, not Lady Alice. Does anyone have data on Amy? I can't find any data on who she was, when she was born, nothing.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

What country, what time period?  If you found profiles here, can you tell us the WikiTree ID?  It's the Name-#### at the end of the profile page URL.
Time period: the only data I have is of her supposed husband George Parmenter, who lived 1520-1591. I don't see any ID but I'm new here and may have missed it. The URL of the page I am looking at is: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Parmenter-323

Thanks for your help and patience! :)
Thanks.  His ID is Parmenter-323, and the link is the perfect way to convey it.  I can't help with your question, but I'm curious about 'Senator.'  It's on his profile as a prefix, but I don't think they had a Senate in Elizabethan England.

Senator was apparently was his title. His parents were George Parmenter 1492-1592 (yes, I double checked across other references and he actually made it to 100 yrs) and Margaret du Puy 1496-1550. Again, this is just data I have found on Ancestry.com, which includes data submitted by other members, so I have to go by what I've found. It could be wrong. Thanks!

The only senator I have found is, so unless he was in Scotland as a judge I would say they used it more as a nickname or sign of respect for his age

That's interesting!  I think it's such an unusual title for an Englishman, that it deserves some explanation in the bio.  Currently there is no mention of it.

I wonder if someone saw 'Sir' on an old handwritten record, and misread it as 'Sen,' and from there it grew into 'Senator.'  Just guessing.
