I have am getting my scans/images from the following places:

  • Images I have already scanned of headstones and old family pics
  • Digging through my piles of stuff I have received from other family members. I am "the genealogy/family history guy" in our family. This will included death cards and the like. I'll avoid the obit clips from newspapers as they are copyrighted in the U.S. (at least after 1923) and that is not in the spirit of scan-a-thon.
  •  Pictures from various genealogy visits of headstones and locations where people are buried.
  • Pictures I took on vacation in a museum/palace in of Europe this year that had portraits of many in the Hapsburg family with identifications of the specific individuals just under the pics.
